about the project.

Jobs for Nature is a World Bank-funded project that supports job opportunities through small-scale projects for vulnerable Fijians residing in rural areas. In the grant application for the Wastewater Drain project, the group selected 3 priority areas in the village to dig drains that decrease the amount of flooding on the main community road. In total, the group plans on digging 200m of drains and finishing them with cement for a more sustainable outcome.

To finish the drains, the leader of the Youth Group and I successfully co-wrote a grant proposal for the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs' Village Improvement Scheme, amounting to a $13,000 FJD project.
